From Lorraine:
Hi, I’m Lorraine!
If you feel overwhelmed by emotions, daily stress, or past experiences like trauma or loss, you’re not alone. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating trauma/PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, BPD, behavioral or school challenges, self-esteem, and stress management. I provide evidence-based strategies to help clients develop coping, communication, and problem-solving skills, gaining insight, confidence, and resilience. I provide counseling that is tailored to your unique experiences and goals, helping you navigate life’s challenges with confidence!
In our work together, we focus on building emotional regulation, social skills, distress tolerance, resiliency, and practical coping strategies so clients and families feel more confident in daily life. I use Play Therapy, EMDR, and DBT to help clients process trauma, express feelings, and develop skills for mindfulness, emotional regulation, and balance.
Play Therapy helps children explore feelings, process experiences, and develop coping, social, and problem-solving skills through structured, supportive play. EMDR reprocesses trauma, reduces distressing memories, and builds resilience. DBT teaches mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness for daily life.
If you or your child is struggling, you don’t have to face it alone. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where therapy feels safe and approachable, not intimidating. Clients can move at their own pace, choose their path, and explore emotions safely. Sessions may include games, activities, and worksheets to make counseling more engaging. Contact me today to start building confidence, resilience, and hope!
